I am a former developer with the nick npmccallum. I have lost access to an important resource and the only email address they have on file is npmccallum@gentoo.org. Would it be possible to temporarily enable forwarding to npmccallum@gmail.com or nathaniel@themccallums.org? I would very much appreciate it!
Removing the restrictions and devrel from CC, this is not related to relations between developers.
please send an email signed with GPG key 209B2B1E to infra@gentoo.org to prove your identity. That's the only key we have on file for you. We don't have any other way of proving that you are the same person.
I figured we would run into this problem. I don't have access to that key anymore. I'm open to other options, including maybe calling Daniel Robbins and having him vouch for me (he's met me in the flesh and works at my former employer, Zenoss). I'm also open to you just forwarding me the one password reset email without forwarding all mail. Any suggestions?
Just forwarding a single password reset mail would defeat the point of the verification, so not going to do that. If drobbins knew you back in the day, that would be acceptable to me. Point him to this bug, so we can confirm with him. Alternatively, if memory serves, you worked on the installer with agaffney, but I'm not sure if you ever met him in person.
Oh, and once we do have you verified, let's put your new alternative email into LDAP, and whatever new GPG key you have, so we can verify you more easily in future if it is required.
Nate contacted me and I can vouch for his identity.
Do we need anything else?
In 10 minutes from now, npmccallum@gentoo.org will forward to npmccallum@gmail.com. Please let us know when you're finished with it, otherwise we'll remove the forward again in about a month. Leaving this bug open to track this.
As we haven't heard anything from you, we assume you finished your business. The redirect has been removed.
