configure: error: XML::Parser perl module is required for intltool

i suggest adding "XML-Parser" to DEPEND

strange, run :
emerge -u gentoolkit
qpkg -l -v XML-Parser

And post the output, gnome-vfs has a build DEPEND on intltool >= 0.29, which in turn depends on XML-Parser, so that this dependency isn't installed means something is weird in your system

This is most likely the perl deal, where packages didn't get recompiled with the upgrade. That's up to the user.

closing as such. rebuild your perl modules.
