This is a known bug in mozilla bugs:

https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=612246

But the patch has not been applied by the upstream to 10.0.5

I think patching the firefox ebuild for this bug until upstream does is a good idea as clobbering files in a multiuser context is bad.
