If you are in a standard console and try to do: # mirrorselect -i mirrorselect doesn't work, puts strange characters in the Gentoo Mirrors string in /etc/make.conf After doing that, the terminal is resized and cannot be restored, not even by killing the agetty For example, if I have a resolution of 1280x1024 in my terminal, it seems to bring it down to 640x480 and then, while the terminal occupies the entire screen, only a small area can be used. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. mirrorselect -i Actual Results: mirrorselect didn't let me manually select the mirrors, put garbage in /etc/make.conf and messed with the terminal size. Expected Results: Firstly, it should have let me select manually the mirrors. Secondly, it shouldn't have done that to the terminal. mirrorselect version: 0.82-r3
Getting same thing, seems to write the selection dialog into GENTOO_MIRRORS and SYNC fields for me in /etc/make.conf.
