Using the x86 LiveCD's, I can't "modprobe sk98lin" for my Linksys EG1032. If I use the AMD64 LiveCD or a Knoppix CD the module loads perfect and the card works. I will post the exact error message if needed (I'm installing using the Knoppix CD right now). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Boot from x86 LiveCD 2."modprobe sk98lin" 3.Gives an error message and does not load module Actual Results: The module would not load and I could not continue with installation. Expected Results: Load the module.
cdimage root # modprobe sk98lin No adapter found. /lib/modules/2.4.21-gss/kernel/drivers/net/sk98lin/sk98lin.o: init_module: No such device Hint: insmod errors can be caused by incorrect module parameters, including invalid IO or IRQ parameters. You may find more information in syslog or the output from dmesg /lib/modules/2.4.21-gss/kernel/drivers/net/sk98lin/sk98lin.o: insmod /lib/modules/2.4.21-gss/kernel/drivers/net/sk98lin/sk98lin.o failed /lib/modules/2.4.21-gss/kernel/drivers/net/sk98lin/sk98lin.o: insmod sk98lin failed
Works fine on the new 2004.0 LiveCD.
