The gSOAP Web services development toolkit offers an XML to C/C++ language binding to ease the development of SOAP/XML Web services in C and C/C++. More information about gsoap: http://www.cs.fsu.edu/~engelen/soap.html Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
Sorry I've just read the install.txt. You just need to unpack the zip file of gsoap and it is ready for use. That's all I don't think it is necessary to make an ebuild. My apologies
not dotnet related, but we should put these in anyway. ill do it when i come back from boston if they havnt been handled already
Created attachment 27229 [details] gsoap 2.5 ebuild I suggest categorizing this as net-libs/gsoap
Please don't put this in dotnet, it has nothing to do with it. the net-libs/gsoap is probably better dev-cpp is another good alternative (the most sensible if you ask me) I also ask you to consider the following modifications to the ebuild these allow for compiling with debug information (usefull since this is a development tool) IUSE only has use flags and not package dependencies I don't know why -j1 is mandatory so I didn't change it

reassign to bug-wranglers, dotnet@ is the wrong herd.
Hi, I'd love to add this - I'm sure it's very useful - but there's no way the web-apps team can provide support for a C++ toolkit like this. I'll post a message to the mailing lists, and see if we can find a volunteer to look after this. If we can't, then we'll have to say 'no'. Best regards, Stu
Created attachment 29896 [details] net-libs/gsoap-2.5 (New Package) Cleaned up previous ebuild: http://bugs.gentoo.org/attachment.cgi?id=27535&action=view (Recommend that attachments 27229 and 27535 be obsoleted.)
Created attachment 29898 [details] net-libs/gsoap-2.5 (New Package) Sorry, pulled the trigger too quickly. This ebuild installs the documentation, extras, and examples. Tasty!
Created attachment 37797 [details] version 2.6.2 of gsoap....
Created attachment 60897 [details] Ebuild for gsoap 2.7.2 Latest version...
Created attachment 78752 [details] ebuild of version 2.7.6d Latest version, still wondering why this package isn't maintained
2.6.7e has some bugfixes over 2.6.7d The attached ebuild has - /usr/share/${PN}/stdsoap2.* /usr/share/${PN}/typemap.dat needed to generate a web service with build-chain wsdl2h, soapcpp2, g++ - /usr/share/gsoap/import STL-support, DOM-support - /usr/share/doc/${P}

Created attachment 145758 [details] gsoap license
Created attachment 145760 [details, diff] ebuild update Updated ebuild. - Fixed license checking for gsoap-2.7.6e.ebuild - Changed dependency from dev-util/yacc to sys-devel/bison
Created attachment 145761 [details, diff] got a little upload happy earlier
Created attachment 160138 [details] new ebuild vor 2.7.10 A new ebuild for version 2.7.10. I've added a use flag for ssl and a requirement for version >=0.9.6-r1.
Created attachment 160188 [details] includes a patch to fix a SEGV This release includes a patch that will undefine some config.h defines. The source uses strtro[fd]_l functions, but that is ill advised for glibc at the moment (see stdlib.h). The second fix is to prevent using the strtod function unless C99 standard is used, this function is only defined in C99. Will cause a SEGV if used.
Created attachment 160189 [details, diff] the patch belonging to 2.7.10-r1
While trying to digest the latest uploaded ebuild "gsoap-2.7.10-r1.ebuild", I got an error concerning line 13: DEPEND: sys-devel/bison sys-devel/flex ssl? ( >=dev-libs/openssl-0.9.6-r1) missing space by parenthesis: '1)' Fixed by simply addign a space between the '1' and the ')'. Thought I'd let you know...
Created attachment 161520 [details] Version update gSOAP 2.7.11 stable released The patchs supplied with 2.7.10-r1 is no longer required as this version introduces a compiletime define that governs the use of the locale versions of the conversion routines. By default this is not enabled.
(this is an automated message based on filtering criteria that matched this bug) Hello, The Gentoo Team would like to firstly thank you for your ebuild submission. We also apologize for not being able to accomendate you on a timely manor. There are simply too many new packages. Allow me to use this opportunity to introduce you to Gentoo Sunrise. The sunrise overlay[1] is a overlay for Gentoo which we allow trusted users to commit to and all users can have ebuilds reviewed by Gentoo devs for entry into the overlay. So, the sunrise team is suggesting that you look into this and submit your ebuild to the overlay where even *you* can commit to. =) Because this is a mass message, we are also asking you to be patient with us. We anticipate a large number of requests in a short time. Thanks, On behalf of the Gentoo Sunrise Team, Jeremy.
