Get these error trying to mount: mount.davfs: user davfs2 does not exist Notice the group was created, the user however not. Error disappears after creating a user with name davfs2. Seems to be a regression (similar issue in 2009 - bug 274312)

I have only reproduced this error when the user that is mounting the share is NOT in the davfs2 group. This is by design, add the user to davfs2 as the postinst instructions advise. /sbin/mount.davfs: user darkside must be member of group davfs2 You may reopen the bug if I have misdiagnosed.
I think we should set the dav_user to 'nobody' dav_user=<davfs2> A system user without shell. mount.davfs will run with this id when invoked by root. Default dav_user is "davfs2".
I set that in the 1.4.7 version, please test and report back
I tested it, and it works in 1.4.7, where I got the davfs2 user error with 1.4.5-r1. Thanks for the fix!
This is fixed. Can we close the bug please?
