The gtk-qt theme is a theme for Gtk-2.0 which uses the Qt style API to draw. Thus, all Gtk-2.0 apps look like Qt apps (although they don't _feel_ like Qt apps... but that's another story.) The 0.3 release of this fixes the one glitch which I had with it, which was the sliders not drawing. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:
Created attachment 25902 [details, diff] Patch to fix the Qt path on the makefile.
Created attachment 25903 [details] Ebuild for x11-themes/gtk-qt-engine
you can ~amd64 keyword this also
Some problems with transparency and some fonts: - with gdesklets (0.26) the transparency doesn't work (a grey background instead) - with gdeskcal (0.57.1) the transparency seems to work, but the fonts appear all black instead of blue
Duplicate of Bug #37966?
It does look like a duplicate now that you mention it. Yet when I submitted this, a search for "gtk-qt" returned exactly zero results. And I'm not liking the idea of closing this in order to point at a bug which is "RESOLVED LATER". "LATER" is a common synonym for "NEVER" when it comes to bug tracking.
Oh, there is one difference come to mention it. This one is version 0.3, which actually is quite workable. Back in 0.2 half the stuff didn't skin.
This definitely way too unstable. ~arch isn't for testing software, its for testing ebuilds, thought its not always treated that way.
I've been running this since v0.2 with no issues aside from the rendering bugs fixed in v0.3, so if it's unstable, clearly nobody has informed me. Well, I guess they have now.
