I have the same problem.

/usr/portage/app-text/libwps/files/libwps-0.2.6-debug.patch

Does exist though. Ebuild writing error or a truly different patch?
Comment 2 Robert Cabrera 2012-06-10 17:24:46 UTC
I too just got hit with this bug this morning. From what I gathered from looking at both ebuilds in /usr/portage/app-txt/libwps/ is that the maintainer just copied over and renamed the ebuild for libwps-0.2.6 to libwps-0.2.7 without a corresponding inclusion of a libwps-0.2.7-debug.patch. The only patch in the 'file' folder is libwps-0.2.6-debug.patch.

So if libwps-0.2.7 needs the "debug.patch" then one needs inclusion. If it doesn't need this patch then the new ebuild needs to be modified so it doesn't call for it. One way or the other this ebuild needs fixing before it will install correctly.
Comment 3 Robert Cabrera 2012-06-10 18:06:53 UTC
OK, I did some investigating on my own. Now remember I'm a truck driver, not a programmer. But from what I could see, the libwps-0.2.6-debug.patch just adds the following lines to /libwps-0.2.6/src/lib/libwps_internal.h :
28 #ifdef DEBUG
29 #include <stdio.h>
30 #endif

However, the above lines are already in libwps-0.2.7/src/lib/libwps_internal.h so the patch is no longer needed for libwps-0.2.7.

So I modified the ebuild for app-text/libwps-0.2.7 in my local overlay by commenting the call for the patch and it built and installed correctly.

I will post my modified ebuild shortly.

I hope this helps.

modified libwps-0.2.7.ebuild

Uploaded the ebuild I modified which allows libwps-0.2.7 to emerge. All I did was comment out the patch section, then the application emerged as expected.

Ciao
