note that mirrorselect failed before moving from stage1 to stage2 (should not matter per install handbook) java was "disabled" during bootstrap lots of sites report no file coreutils/coreutils-5.0.91.tar.bz2 get error message: No such file `coreutils-5.0.91.tar.bz2'. some complain about direcotry incorrect: No such directory `gnu/coreutils'. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.follow install handbook for built form basic CD; modified CHOST 2.fails when running the last command in handbook section 6.d - emerge system 3.also fails if just trying: emerge --fetchonly system Actual Results: emerge stop due to not being able to find coreutils
Similar problems for me as well. Navigating to mirros shows file does not exist. To duplicate, move coreutils-5.0.91.tar.bz2 out of /usr/portage/distfiles and try emerge-ing the package. Looking at ftp.gnu.org/pub/gnu/coreutils/ (as an example) the closest match is coreutils-5.0.tar.bz2 This has actually been an ongoing issue for me, but as I have more than one linux box, I was able to copy the file from one to the other.
I've copied a file onto the master mirror, it should propagate to all our source mirrors during the course of the day.
