qp-pppoe doesn't work with 2.6 (problem is with rp-pppoe) johnm has a patch, but it installs to the wrong dir http://dev.gentoo.org/~johnm/ its not working under 2.6.1 kernel after upgrade works in 2.4.20

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.emerged rp-pppoe under 2.4.20
2.used patch and then emerged rp-pppoe
3.booted to 2.6.1 emerged rp-pppoe

Actual Results:  
me and johnm tried to get it to work but didnt, johnm says it installs in a
wrong dir

Expected Results:  
connected to the internet using pppoe or connect to the internet period just
like in 2.4.20

Please help me =)

can you please post a compile log, it works fine here, even with 2.6.3

Please also post all of your PPP configuration options in your kernel config.  This can be found in Device Drivers -> Networking Support under the PPP Support menu.  9 times out of 10 you probably forgot to turn on one of the options there (like async).

so it seems to emerge fine, is this with or without johnm's patch?
