Considering the fact that the latest version in the tree is 0.17, which is almost 7 years old, it might be worth bumping iftop to the latest 1.0_pre2, which was released in October. It includes IPv6 support (which was requested by others in bug #375945), and various other important improvements.

I've tested it on amd64 and x86, and have no problems with it. I'm attaching here a very simple ebuild that does the job quite well.

No need to inherit eutils.
AUTHORS should be installed too.
