Description Daniel Bumke 2012-05-29 10:37:31 UTC
Switching quodlibet from xine-lib to gstreamer (with the gstreamer use-flag) breaks all audio playback in quodlibet.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install quodlibet USE="-gstreamer"
2. Use quodlibet to play music
3. Re-emerge quodlibet USE="gstreamer"
4. Remove xine-lib

Actual Results:
quodlibet starts but fails to play any music

"E: Invalid audio backend. The audio backend 'xinebe' is not installed."

Expected Results:
quodlibet starts and plays music through gstreamer

Re-emerge of quodlibet and related packages and revdep-rebuild do nothing. Workaround: delete ~/.quodlibet, at which point it runs as expected, but all setting are obviously gone.

quodlibet-plugins not installed on this system.

Not a bug. This is really a setting left for the user in ~/.quodlibet/config
