hotplug-20030805-r2 works fine. All later versions (tested up to hotplug-20040105) will reboot my computer approx 60 seconds after it displays the KDE login screen or bash login. If I log in to a shell before my system reboots (during the 60 second window) and stop hotplug with "/etc/init.d/hotplug stop" it STILL reboots on schedule. Only booting without hotplug works with these later versions, but then of course the mouse/usb/etc doesn't. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. emerge any version of hotplug after hotplug-20030805-r2 2. run etc-update and replace the 8 hotplug config/script files 3. restart machine. Reboots approx 60 seconds after starting hotplug. Actual Results: reboots approx 60 seconds after starting up. Expected Results: Not caused a reboot I'm not sure whether emerging hotplug-20030805-r3 or later and NOT replacing the 8 hotplug scripts will prevent this occurring. I'm about to test that now, but I don't know for sure whether this is something smart to try. Each time it forceably reboots I run the risk of losing data, so I'm limiting my testing to emerging each new release of Hotplug, confirming it still doesn't work, and then I return to 20030805-r2. However, I would like to help fix it, so please tell me what you need.
Should be fixed in latest release.
