Is it possible to provide a virtual/mozilla entry in /var/cache/edb/virtuals, so that either mozilla or MozillaFirebird have to be installed. People not using mozilla need it, because some programms rely on the mozilla libs. But these libs are also provided by MozillaFirebird (or am i wrong?). So why not creating a virtual/mozilla entry and have either mozilla or firebird installed. greetz michael
MozillaFirebird doesn't provide everything other apps need to build against unfortunately. A future development from mozilla.org will be the GRE, Gecko Runtime Environment. This will enable multiple Mozilla based applications to link to a single gecko engine and set of supporting libraries, so that the full browser doesn't need to be installed if it hasn't been requested by the user.
