this package should follow openrc, see bug #401059, and move that akward directory location /run/$something.
thanks.

Reproducible: Always

Also, when /etc is mounted ro and /etc/mtab symlinked to /proc/mounts. I get this:

Spurious error during boot:

sed.off: kan tijdelijk bestand /etc/seddTuKAP niet openen: Bestandssysteem is alleen-lezen

translation:

sed.off (replaced it to debug): cannot open temporary file /etc/seddTuKAP: Filesystem is read-only

Patch for fix work with symlink /etc/mtab

When /etc/mtab symlinked to /proc/self/mounts, Splash plugin for openrc break on exit /etc/mtab symlink.

I am not clear. Is it a fix or not? Is the 'break on exit /etc/mtab symlink" a residual fault or is it what is being fixed?
