There's already one bug about xfce4-session filed here, but I got a way to install it anyway. The problem is that the package xfce4-session depends on xfce4, and not on xfce4-base, as it should. The package xfce4 is xfce4-base + a lot of stuff such as some plugins that don't affect the funcionality. Only xfce4-base is needed for xfce4-session, but the ebuild depends on xfce4 instead. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Be sure neither xfce4 nor xfce4-base is installed 2. Due to another bug, regarding keywords, the package cannot be installed in another way than using the full path to the ebuild. So: "emerge -pv /usr/portage/xfce-base/xfce4-session/xfce4-session-0.1.1.ebuild" Actual Results: The package lists xfce4 as a dependence. Expected Results: The package should list xfce4-base as a dependence. Well, I don't think I need to paste anything here... Anyway, running 2.6.1-r1, lastest version of each package for sure. Athlon XP 2200+, that is, x86 compatible, if it does matter. :D
this ebuild will be fixed with the official release, but as for now the package is an outdated snapshot that I have masked and probably should have removed from the tree.
