Created attachment 312717 [details] Patch against the current gentoo_prefix rsync package The summary says it all: you can just ebuild prepare it to see the failures. I've attached a patch that updates the ebuild and patches. With this patch applied netpbm builds for me (on ~amd64-linux). I had to remove the "darwin-signals" patch because it seems that netpbm's signal handling has changed a whole lot and nothing similar exists. I don't know if the new version actually makes the patch obselete or not, someone with a Darwin prefix might want to test that out. I also noticed that there's a whole bunch of obselete patches in "netpbm/files/". I don't know what the policy is for looking at those but I thought I'd bring it up while someone was looking at the package. I'll also attach my updated ebuild and the 2 patches it needs, in case that's easier for everyone that looking at a patch.

Thanks for the updated patches! The Darwin patch seems no longer necessary, the Solaris patch needs some more work, which I'm trying out now. At least the ebuild in its current state no longer fails to apply patches.
