I emerged gdesklets-core and desklet-sysinfo to test and see if I liked it. They both install with no problems and I can add the sysinfo display (I am using xfce4, so I do it manually): ian@minion ian $ gdesklets /usr/share/gdesklets/Displays/SysInfo/sysinfo.displayCould not connect to gnome-session. GNOME session management will not be available for this application. gDesklets 0.25 Copyright

GNOME session management will not be available for this application. gDesklets 0.25 Copyright © 2003 Martin Grimme, Christian Meyer, Jesse Andrews This software is licensed under the terms of the GNU GPL. I don't know if the gnome-session error is a problem, but I don't have any problems with other gnome apps, so I don't think so. Just to be sure, I installed gnome-session but received the same error. When I try to run gdesklets, it builds the window for the sysinfo desklet. It then disappears and I get this in my terminal output: Traceback (most recent call last): File "./SysInfo/__init__.py", line 332, in __get_sys_info_thread File "./SysInfo/__init__.py", line 93, in __do_sys AttributeError: Sys instance has no attribute 'get_name' This repeats ad nauseum. This doesn't appear to be a problem with all desklets as I just got desklet-clock to work. Let me know if I should make a new bug for the individual desklets that are having the problem, though that could be a lot of bugs :)
Any luck with 0.26 ? Just make sure you have the latest version of both desklet-sysinfo and gdesklets-core and re-test. Thanks
Try 0.26.1 as well, no reporter traffic, sorry, closing.
