Description Johannes Geiss 2012-05-18 06:07:53 UTC
Starting spamd via "rc-service spamd start" or by any other means fails.
The previous version 3.3.1-r4 works well.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
rc-service spamd start

or

/usr/sbin/spamd -d -r /var/run/spamd.pid

Actual Results:
The daemon spamd is not starting.

Expected Results:
The daemon starts.

If started via command, the following error appears:

child process [3695] exited or timed out without signaling production of a PID file: exit 255 at /usr/sbin/spamd line 2642.

Same here on amd64 after upgrade of spamassassin to 3.4.0, the solution was to run sa-update once after the upgrade.
After that, spamd is starting successfully,

It looks like not a bug at all then.
