as I stated in summary, it seems to be dead (404 Not Found).

yeah, i know this is commented out in latest ebuild.
http://sources.gentoo.org/cgi-bin/viewvc.cgi/gentoo-x86/dev-python/python-ldap/python-ldap-2.4.8.ebuild?view=markup
but stable version has this issue.
