That issue aside, comments on your ebuild:

o  No need to include glibc and cron, they're included in the default profiles so we don't have to mention them here as well
o  You can use ${PN} (which = program name) in the SRC_URI/HOMEPAGE just to shortcut things

Aside from that, well done.

I doubt this is maintained btw, so for that reason alone we shouldn't put it in the tree.

- dep stuff noted for next time :)
- normally I use ${PN} in SRC_URI, don't ask why I didn't this time
- HOMEPAGE is without ${PN} because if someone views the ebuild, he can
  copy'n'paste the url. according to lisa in bug #31865

freshmeat.net says version 0.8.0 has been released on 19-Jan-2004. Earlier
release of 0.6.6 is ~4 years ago.

Sorry, I wrote my post while you created yours. Bugzilla told me that when I
wanted to post mine, I went back, reloaded the bug page and entered my post
a 2nd time. This time no bugzilla notification when submitting. Don't know
why bugzilla still changed the priority. Weird. Was no intention.
