as much as id like to play with this app and get it into portage, I'm kinda busy for the next cpl weeks finishing up the MonoDevelop 0.1 release and then taking a vaction to boston.
It doesn't run away, Todd. I have other bugs open without a single comment for months, so I really appreciate this one. :)
reassign to bug-wranglers, dotnet@ is the wrong herd.
Carlo, Has anyone invited you to become a volunteer Gentoo developer yet? If not, would you be interested in becoming one? ;-) I'm adding this as dev-util/qsoapman for you. Should appear on your local rsync mirror in about an hour. Please test it, and let me know whether it works for you or not. Best regards, Stu
You're the fourth now, Stuart. :) Bryan
You're the fourth now, Stuart. :) Bryan Østergaard managed to convince me to join and is so kind to act as my mentor (Bug 47265). At the moment I'm trying to reduce/focus a bit. But that's quite hard. btw: Why do you want me to test the ebuilds (linkchecker and this one)? If you didn't changed anything, there shouldn't be any difference to the ones in my local overlay directory.
I always ask the original submitter to test the ebuild. It's a good way of catching any mistakes I make when committing an ebuild. For example, my Gentoo machine uses the CVS tree for Portage - and not the rsync tree. If I forget to commit a file, I won't notice it locally. Plus, most of the time, I don't know these packages, and I'm not able to test the ebuild as thoroughly as I'd like. If there's a way I can tempt you to come and work on web-based stuff, just let me know ;-) Best regards, Stu
>I always ask the original submitter to test the ebuild. I see. It's just, that I have to use the "evil" /path/to/ebuild pattern or to relocate the affected ebuild in my local overlay, because portage prefers the latter. It's pretty unconvenient. Maybe adding another to the numerous options to emerge (--ignore-overlay) - nah, please don't. ;) >If there's a way I can tempt you to come and work on web-based stuff, just let me know ;-) Hehe - no chance. http://forums.gentoo.org/viewforum.php?f=42 was intended to become a "job market place". Good luck! :) The ebuild installs fine.
