Description Anno v. Heimburg 2004-02-14 11:34:37 UTC
Might be my setup, but I had the following problem:

After emerging kde-3.2.0, kssl-using processes such as the imaps and https kioslaves would lock up using 100% CPU or simply crash.

The fun part is that when I compiled kdelibs and kdebase by hand (only configure-option was enable-debug=full), no such problems appeared. I'm at a loss as to what causes this, the mozilla ssl library was a suspect but I was able to rule that one out. Output of emerge info follows, reference to KDE bug given in URL.

Was reported upstream and seems to be fixed through a recompile.
