When I try to emerge app-emacs/python-mode it tells me that it is blocked because
- app-emacs/python-mode-4.6 (masked by: missing keyword)
. Apparently the ebuild is only marked for x86 machines. However, if I do
emerge /usr/portage/app-emacs/python-mode/python-mode-4.6.ebuild
it emerges just fine and then works without a hitch when editing .py files in Emacs. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. enter the command "emerge app-emacs/python-mode" on a ppc machine 2. 3. Actual Results:
Calculating dependencies !!! all ebuilds that could satisfy "python-mode" have been masked. !!! possible candidates are: - app-emacs/python-mode-4.6 (masked by: missing keyword) !!! Error calculating dependencies. Please correct.
Expected Results: It should have emerged python-mode just fine because it works on ppc as well as x86
I added this to ~ppc.
I made it stable on ppc.
