This is related to bug #3649, but in fact is more of a different package (think of it as being in another slot), because it uses >=cyrus-sasl-2.1.0 which cyrus-imapd-2.0.16 does not.

nick if this is added to portage why did you not close this bug? If you're a cyrus user and are more familiar with this beast, perhaps you should take these cyrus bugs (there are plenty of them, and i loathe cyrus) as they'll sit in my queue for a while.
