Hi there! I've discovered, that tarball, that net-print/cups ebuild using to install has broken .po files with empty translation strings. In other hand that ones from opensource.apple.com has normal, fully translated text. Reproducible: Always
Indeedy, good catch.
eww... ok, will switch to new one...
I've patched the locales dir in -r21; if no problems come up I'll do similar with the stable variant in a couple of days...
somewhy now it talking in english, but not translated text. It seems, something else is missing. Any ideas? scarabeus, can you check it too? Did it came english-only for you too?
This is from the upstream bug report, bringing me very close to a rude response: [STR Closed w/o Resolution] The translations have not been updated, and we depend on volunteers to do the work for the cups.org releases. Link: http://www.cups.org/str.php?L4076 Version: 1.5.2 Fix Version: Third-party

Did it came english-only for you too? I'll have a closer look on sunday afternoon, until then I'm pretty busy unfortunately. I used the translations from 150 for 152, probably they dont fit... German locale is also affected, so I should see it...
OK, in the end we cannot do much about it. The files at the apple site are not useful, they are actually older than cups-1.5.3. We'll have to stick to the cups tarball for now.
