The check for the kernel configuration options is fatal. Can we please change it to a simple warning? This is the recommended behavior when checking for available kernel options
Comment 2 Michael Harrison 2012-05-09 09:23:08 UTC
amd64 ok (couldn't verify kernel crash because I have no wlan attached at the moment)
Comment 3 Christoph Mende (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2012-05-22 15:56:48 UTC
I've changed it to be non-fatal, but couldn't really test it (only tested 1.58_rc1, 1.57 won't build against >=3.3). Please do try building (not running) it with WEXT_PRIV disabled. I'm fairly sure ndiswrapper failed to build without it in the past.
Don't think the test is needed for USB (but feel free to if you want).
Comment 4 Maurizio Camisaschi (amd64 AT) 2012-05-22 21:38:14 UTC
amd64 builds ok, even if WEXT_PRIV is not set
Comment 5 Agostino Sarubbo gentoo-dev 2012-05-26 07:51:44 UTC
amd64 stable, thanks k01.
