sys-freebsd/freebsd-cddl-9.0 failure log

This occurred when rebuilding @world after upgrading to GCC 4.6.3. nigoro wrote a patch for the ebuild that fixes this.

Your patch works. I did spot a few QA notices, but they are unrelated to the patch.

 * QA Notice: Found an absolute symlink in a library directory:
 *            usr/lib64/libnvpair.so -> /lib64/libnvpair.so.2
 * It should be a relative symlink if in the same directory
 * or a linker script if it crosses the /usr boundary.

 * QA Notice: Found an absolute symlink in a library directory:
 *            usr/lib64/libumem.so -> /lib64/libumem.so.2
 * It should be a relative symlink if in the same directory
 * or a linker script if it crosses the /usr boundary.

 * QA Notice: Found an absolute symlink in a library directory:
 *            usr/lib64/libuutil.so -> /lib64/libuutil.so.2
 * It should be a relative symlink if in the same directory
 * or a linker script if it crosses the /usr boundary.

 * QA Notice: Found an absolute symlink in a library directory:
 *            usr/lib64/libzfs.so -> /lib64/libzfs.so.2
 * It should be a relative symlink if in the same directory
 * or a linker script if it crosses the /usr boundary.

 * QA Notice: Found an absolute symlink in a library directory:
 *            usr/lib64/libzpool.so -> /lib64/libzpool.so.2

so eg /usr/lib64/libnvpair.so is a symlink while it was a ldscript before my patch, right ?

This is correct. I double checked to be certain.

so my patch is wrong, maybe before calling gen_usr_ldscript the symlinks should be removed...
Comment 7 Alexis Ballier gentoo-dev 2012-05-12 15:00:19 UTC
ok, so the ebuild was overengenered... i've simplified it, it should be good now
