I am not at all convinced that the problem is in glib itself; considering the number of applications using glib, I am sure you would have seen the same failure in other places by now. It's more likely that either gajim itself or net-libs/farsight2 is at fault here. First of all, check whether gajim with USE=-jingle works.
Shouldn't block the security block now as stable HPPA keywords have been dropped.
(In reply to comment #3) > Shouldn't block the security block now as stable HPPA keywords have been security *bug* 8-)
an you check 0.15.1 ?
(In reply to comment #5) > an you check 0.15.1 ?
Please stop closing bugs under the assumption that version bumps magically fix bugs.
(In reply to comment #2) > First of all, check whether gajim with USE=-jingle works. I'll try that. I hadn't yet realised that gajim mainly calls libraries at run time, so that should make it a lot easier to resolve this issue. Also, switching to farstream/gajim-0.15.1 didn't help at all.
(In reply to comment #7) > Please stop closing bugs under the assumption that version bumps magically > fix bugs. Please reply to questions (like comment #5)
Please test version 0.15.3. Does it fix this issue? If not, please report upstream.
An update on this bug is required after almost one year. Thanks.
HPPA keywording dropped. I couldn't reproduce /this/ problem, but plenty others came up.
ok, thanks for the heads up.
