Description TGL 2004-02-13 08:44:50 UTC
/sbin/fbmngplay is linked to this two libs:
  /usr/lib/libmng.so.1 (media-libs/libmng)
  /usr/lib/libjpeg.so.62 (media-libs/jpeg)
It prevents animated bootsplash working if /usr is a separate partition.
It should probably be statically compiled, i will attach a patch to the ebuild that takes care of that. This ebuilds builds _only_ the static version, cause i've not thought both could be needed, but feel free to change that if i'm wrong (i don't use bootsplash myself, so i don't know well what is really required/useful - i've only made this patch by user request).

The above described patch for the ebuild.

OK, I've updated the ebuild so that it now installs both fbmngplay and fbmngplay.static. I've also added an info note about this. It's up to the user to choose the correct version as we don't currently support boot animations. This is mainly due to the fact that we don't have a nice animations pack. If someone was to contribute some nice anims we could use, I'll make sure bootanims are fully supported :)
