Hi, net-mail/hotwayd can be bumped to 0.8. Plain version bump is sufficient. Sven
Created attachment 26115 [details] hotwayd-0.8.ebuild The version 0.8 of hotwayd now contains the smtp equivalent for HHTPMail, called "hotsmtpd". I have modified the 0.7.4 ebuild with an extra xinetd configuration file and extra instructions -- and, more importantly, one extra dependency. Hotsmtp depends on >=dev-libs/cyrus-sasl-2 . If cyrus-sasl is not present, the makefile doesn't compile hotsmtpd, and only compiles hotwayd. People who are not interested in hotsmtpd should be allowed to ignore the extra dependency. I am not sure how to express that in an ebuild. Should this be a use flag?

ebuild works great over here one small typo though. hotwayd-0.8.ebuild: einfo " - Go through the same step as above once again for hotsmtpd" einfo " using port 25 for smpt" s/smpt/smtp/ Also, it might be ok to make a new ebuild for hotsmtpd, sort of like how nvidia-glx and nvidia-kernel are separated even though they use the same distfile.
Is there any chance of getting this moved into portage? February was a long time ago... Also, the ebuild does indeed install cyrus-sasl-2. I don't really care, but someone might.
old stable emerge (0.5.3) broken, has DAV problems maybe add "**delete all hotmail personal folders**" to einfo echo "net/mail/hotwayd can be bumped to 0.8. Plain version bump is sufficient"
bug #45567 resolved, so this one.
