Patch for strace-4.7.ebuild

It works for me with this little modification of ebuild but it would be better to do that in configure script.

Patch for strace-4.7.ebuild

this breaks on <glibc-2.15 and all non-glibc platforms
Comment 6 SpanKY gentoo-dev 2012-05-04 23:24:00 UTC
ok, this is because you built your glibc against old kernel headers. so the process_vm_readv() in your glibc won't actually work.
Comment 7 Thomas Sachau gentoo-dev 2012-05-12 07:55:39 UTC
I am hitting the same issue. I do use the 2.6.32 kernel series and restricted newer versions of kernel-headers because of that.
Will glibc get a fix to work with older kernel headers or will newer glibc versions force newer kernel headers?
Comment 8 SpanKY gentoo-dev 2012-05-13 19:47:24 UTC
should be all set now in the tree; thanks for the report!

(In reply to comment #7)

pegging your kernel headers to an old version is unnecessary. glibc handles new kernel headers on old system just fine.
