Version 27.7 of sci-mathematics/gimps is available for download. This is a release candidate for the new version. This version fixes a number of bugs in 27.6: 1. A slower trial factoring algorithm is chosen sometimes. 2. The round off error can be incorrectly calculated. 3. Mprime -v does not print out the build number. 4. Torture test on small FFTs gets round off errors or crashes after a while. In very rare cases, regular tests could crash or raise a round off error. 5. Multithreaded FFTs could deadlock. Known bugs and fixes: none known at the moment. This is a candidate for stable if no bugs or regressions come up. Renaming the existing ebuild works like a charm. BTW the following files can be deleted from the files/ directory as they are not referenced by any remaining ebuild: gimps-24.14-conf.d gimps-24.14-init.d gimps-25.6-init.d gimps-25.7-init.d
