Description Jim Faulkner 2012-04-30 18:01:41 UTC
app-admin/syslog-ng-3.3.5 does not startup properly on the mips architecture. I've re-emerged -pve syslog-ng to no avail. Here's the startup:

flummox log # /etc/init.d/syslog-ng start
eventfd2: Invalid argument
 * Starting syslog-ng ...
eventfd2: Invalid argument                                                                                                                [ ok ]
flummox log # ps aux |grep syslog | grep -v grep

flummox log # /etc/init.d/syslog-ng stop
 * Stopping syslog-ng ...
 * start-stop-daemon: no matching processes found                                                                                         [ ok ]
flummox log #

Here's what I get when I start it up in debug mode:

flummox log # syslog-ng -d

FWIW, I do have CONFIG_EVENTFD enabled in my kernel config:

flummox log # gzip -dc /proc/config.gz | grep EVENTFD
CONFIG_EVENTFD=y
flummox log #

Reproducible: Always

Can you try to build syslog-ng again after sync?

Yes, that fixed it, syslog-ng 3.3.5 now starts up properly. Thank you!
