Description Jason Ahrens 2004-02-12 13:55:08 UTC
Reporducable on 2 different systems by doing "emerge libungif"

During the "patch" phase of source extraction, the following failure occurs. Note the failure with portage.patch. It seems to be non-fatal as package installation continues normally.

>>> emerge (1 of 1) media-libs/libungif-4.1.0.1b to /
>>> md5 src_uri ;-) libungif-4.1.0b1.tar.bz2
>>> Unpacking source...
>>> Unpacking libungif-4.1.0b1.tar.bz2 to /var/tmp/portage/libungif-4.1.0.1b/work

Using `AC_PROG_RANLIB' is rendered obsolete by `AC_PROG_LIBTOOL'
You should update your `aclocal.m4' by running aclocal.

I had no patch issues when compiling libungif.
Comment 2 Jason Ahrens 2004-07-29 17:41:42 UTC
I forget what I did differently back then. I apparently opened this report back 5 and a half months ago now. Either way, the issue seems long resolved.

libungif-4.1.3 should have this resolved (and is now stable)
