Hi, i've noticed, that the starting of hostapd removes all ipv6-adresses on the wlan-interface, except the link-local one. Sounds like a bug..

Just wondering - does this also happen with 0.7.3 ?
Confirmed here too. Not yet testet hostapd 0.7.3, but I think I will not be able to do so : nl80211 driver is not stable with 0.7.3... But this probably deserve an upstream bug (not yet google nor search upstream about it). I do not think it's gentoo related.
Here it is ! http://hostap.epitest.fi/bugz/show_bug.cgi?id=298 Same bug present on debian and redhat bugzillas. Seems that upstream has not so much interest on this...
Okay, since it is not gentoo related, and has been reported upsteam, I'm closing this bug. Regarding the bug, I suggest trying to write to the hostap mailinglist, it seems to be more active than their bugzilla, so that might be a good place to start. Have a look here: http://lists.shmoo.com/mailman/listinfo/hostap
