Goal: courier-mta with vpopmail support Tested: 0.44.0 0.44.2 0.44.2.20040201 Problem 1: qmail is a hard dep of vpopmail, and blocks courier because they both provide virtual/mta. Problem 2: Courier ebuild properly detects the existance of vpopmail and configures and compiles accordingly... Then promptly forgets to install the vpopmail authmodule. Side note: postfix can also support vpopmail, and is also blocked by qmail. At least the postfix ebuild doesn't try to enable vpopmail support. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
courier detected/install the vpopmail authmodule on all my machines ...
vapier: courier-imap != courier-mta iggy: i think we can solve problem 1 this if we add a virtual vpopmail-mta which is provided by your courier-mta, my qmail and the postfix folks can work it in as well. problem 2 is entirely in your court.
ah my mistake ;)
iggy: ping
