According to chithanh and jer in bug #368463 comment #1, sys-kernel/linux-firmware shall be used instead of the in-kernel firmware: "New firmware will go into the linux-firmware tree instead of the kernel. linux-firmware is intended to replace the in-kernel firmware."

So it should be keyworded for ia64.
