After an update of poppler, epdfview shows all marked text as grey (marked grey and font colour grey). This happens with the text that is marked when searching, selected text, text marked in the pdf itself. Have recompiled epdfview after the update of poppler, after downgrading to poppler-0.16.7 (and emerging epdfview again), everything was back to normal. The greyed out 'bars' also seem to be somewhat left of the real text that should be marked. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open a pdf file in epdfview 2. Search or select some text 3. Text is greyed out Actual Results: Text was greyed out and thus unreadable. Expected Results: Background should have the normal colour (e.g. as specified in the pdf). Did you try another pdf viewer? Just works here for example with okular.
Seems to work fine in both Xournal and Evince
@billie: Is upstream still alive? The last commit in source repository http://trac.emma-soft.com/epdfview/browser was 8 month ago and the roadmap does not contain any issues. Do you have contact to the upstream maintainer?

The last commit in source repository > http://trac.emma-soft.com/epdfview/browser was 8 month ago and the roadmap > does not contain any issues. Do you have contact to the upstream maintainer? I did contact him once but this was four years ago before I took over maintenance of the package. Now I have been unable to contact him. I tried to contact him via two different mail accounts but he did not respond. The bug tracker is full of spam which may indicate a lack of interest. Development of epdfview was always a bit slow, maybe the author lost interest on working in it completely by now. We should give the project some time. If nothing happens I think I will drop it from the tree. There are other lightweight pdf viewers out there to replace it.
Masked for removal.
Not in the tree anymore.
