root@miau /usr/share/games/doom # ls -l
total 4341
-rw-r----- 1 games games 4196020 Feb 9 10:40 doom1.wad
-rw-r----- 1 games games 243068 Feb 9 10:40 prboom.wad
root@miau /usr/share/games/doom #

root@miau /usr/share/games/doomlegacy # ls -l
total 5032
-rw-r----- 1 games games 4196020 Feb 9 22:14 doom1.wad
-rw-r----- 1 games games 951045 Feb 9 22:14 legacy.dat
root@miau /usr/share/games/doomlegacy #

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge prboom
2. emerge doomlegacy

Actual Results:
I had two doom1.wad files on my hd, where one would be enough

Expected Results:
The software (doom and doomlegacy) should agree on one place where to keep doom1.wad

Comment 1 SpanKY gentoo-dev 2004-02-12 07:00:16 UTC
perhaps we should unify datadirs like with quake1/quake2 ...

/usr/share/games/doom-data/
Comment 2 SpanKY gentoo-dev 2004-07-20 18:25:54 UTC
games-fps/doom-data

doom wad files now go into /usr/share/games/doom-data/
