Hi Greg.

Thanks for a bug report.
However I need more information to process this bug
(BTW expat built fine for me erlier and just did it now again).

1. As I understood this is happens when expat was built as a dependency for
apache. Is this right?

2. What happens if you emerge expat?

3. Your system info:
a) platform (x86/ppc/sparc...)
b) profile you are running,
if you made any modifications to your profile, please include
(attach to the bug) all modified files
c) your USE var settings, contents of your world file. If you suspect anything
specific please indicate that.
d)any specific modifications you have done to the system.

BTW, did you run env-update and ldconfig? Did this do any difference?

George

thanks for the response, but actually drobbins logged into my system and tried
his best to get thigns working, it got to a point where nothing was working at
all. I reinstalled and it got right back to that point, turns out we both
think is bad hardware. I will be replacing it tomorrow afternoon with a new
computer and reinstalling. If I can still recreate the problem then I will
post all the information here, but I believe it was just bad hardware.

Thanks Gregg.

Ok, I'll close this bug then for now.
If you will be able to replicate the problem please reopen it and post requested
info.
