When installing Gentoo Linux 1.4 from sources for a i686 system, I requested Kerberos 5 support as well as krb5/krb4 comatibility, when running the "emerge system" I stepped into gcc compatibility problems: error messages say: in file included from commands.c:63: /usr/lib/gcc-lib/i686-pc-linux-gnu/3.3.2/include/varargs.h:4:2: GCC no longer implements <varargs.h> revise your code to use <stdarg.h> ----- a couple of specific compilation errors resulting from the above problem ----- !!! Error app-crypt/mit-krb5-1.2.7 failed !!! Function src_compile, line 59, Exitcode 2 Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
the newest stable version (1.3.1) in portage says that it fixes this problem.
Moving these so we can remove the "Install CD" component from "Gentoo Linux". I apologize to everyone for this spam, but according to the bugzilla developers, this is the only reasonable way to do this.
