Description solar (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-02-11 10:33:50 UTC
I'd like to sponsor a new dev named horton/hwood aka Bob Ketterhagen, he is my
real life business parter for the past 3.5 years or so and possesses 76% of
knowledge I maintain and probably 43% I don't have. Together we form
quite quite a team and I think it's time to go ahead and just make it
official that he is a developer of Gentoo as more or less he has been
working behind the scenes for as long as I've been here anyway.
He is guru of alot of damn things, but mostly Gentoo :)

Here Ye, Here Ye, Here be me key.

Greetings to all, I hope to be helping the infrastructure team with security
and network optimizations and anything else they throw my way. I have run large
production networks for the last 6 years. I have spent the last 4 years working
with my good buddy solar@gentoo.org.

Thought I closed this already, he's set up and taken care of.
Comment 4 Lance Albertson (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-08-16 20:18:04 UTC
Solar: You said I could go ahead and retire horton, is that ok? I'd like to
start the process if so.

Thanks!

Well, I still work on bugs related to wireless, laptops and other weird ebuilds
like dmraid.
I never use my shell and really only use my horton@gentoo.org email for bugs.
Besides that I have been the one man show@work and have literally spent the last
month out of town. I no problem with it. I still like fixing things in gentoo,
but I don't need to be an official developer for that when I can just run
upstairs to solar and drop it in his lap.
Comment 6 Kurt Lieber (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-08-20 06:48:42 UTC
horton, if you're still working on gentoo stuff, then there's no reason to
retire your accounts. we just hadn't heard from you in a while, so thought you
might be inactive.
Comment 7 Bryan Østergaard (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-10-13 08:59:39 UTC
There's no commits by horton and he's only commented on 12 bugs. The newest
comment on bugs from Horton is from 2005-07-29.
Comment 8 Bob Ketterhagen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-10-13 17:34:38 UTC
Hey Folks,

Just remove me right now. My personal and professional career have prevented me
from doing much with gentoo since the beginning of summer. Please consider this
my resignation until such time as I am able to work on the project again. Please
suspend or remove all account access.

Thanks ya'll,
Solar if I hate it, I'll just run over to your house and annoy you about it.

Re comment #8 Thats fine as long as you don't show up empty handed. (bring beer)
Comment 10 Bryan Østergaard (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-11-11 14:47:17 UTC
*poke* please retire horton so I can clean up my retirement list a bit :)
Comment 11 Lance Albertson (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-11-20 08:12:41 UTC
Retired on my end. I check a couple of servers he had access to and he appears
to be gone on there as well.

All done.
