Could you add a patch https://lkml.org/lkml/2012/3/19/305 into >=gentoo-sources-3.3 (until the patch is applied to the vanilla kernel)?

Without the patch the support for various tv cards will be broken.

Both kernel 3.3.2 and kernel 3.4.0-rc2 contain patches that solve the problem
addressed by the patch of Knut Petersen:

commit e4d3aa91a6b7d6a6ca73b6c169848f7acbecbd8f (3.3.2) and
commit 45145b67f5895ff92207cffd74e65460a87920b2 (3.4-rc2).

3.3.2 both vanilla and gentoo-sources are out now.  Closing unless I am misunderstanding your comment that 3.3.2 contains the fix.

If I am wrong, please reopen.
