I updated to ~2.24.10-r1 (from 2.24.8-r1) and forward-backward icons disappeared from my firefox (still running 3.6), see attached.

Downgrading back to 2.24.8-r1 helped.

Reproducible: Always

The patch was being applied until apps are ported -> update your firefox, also visit:
