Description Geoff Mishkin 2004-02-10 15:39:25 UTC
After upgrading to Gnome 2.4.2, I noticed that the version number and build date in the About box were still for 2.4.1.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Upgrade to Gnome 2.4.2
2. Right-click a blank area on a panel
3. Select "About GNOME"

Actual Results:
Version number was still 2.4.1, build date was the date in January that I built
Gnome 2.4.1.

Expected Results:
Version should've been updated to 2.4.2, build date should've been updated to
the more recent date that I built Gnome 2.4.2 on.

For some reason, the gnome-2.4.1 metapackage didn't get autocleaned until the
next time I emerged a (unrelated) package. I'm not sure if it was autocleaned
at the end of the gnome-2.4.2 emerge, but in any case it showed up as being
autocleaned, possibly again, at a later time. I'm not sure if this is related,
and in any case the version number problem still didn't clear up.
