Description K. de Jong 2004-02-09 19:59:08 UTC
gentoo stage1 while executing bootstrap.sh I got a kernel crash
sys-libs/ncursus-5.3-r5 failed, function src_compile, line 58, exitcode 2
unfortunatly the kernel output came in the links browser, so that info is lost
CFLAGS="-march=athlon-xp -m3dnow -msse -mfpmath=sse -mmmx -O3 -pipe -fforce-addr -fomit-frame-pointer -funroll-loops -frerun-cse-after-loop -frerun-loop-opt -falign-functions=4 -maccumulate-outgoing-args -ffast-math -fprefetch-loop-arrays -mcpu=athlon-xp"
I have a Athlon XP 1800, so above cflags taken from manual "xp2000"

Reproducible: Didn't try
Steps to Reproduce:

those are *pretty* agressive cflags

however, the fact your kernel crashed might mean your cpu is under cooled ...

probably hardware, reduce your cflags ;)
