DESCRIPTION="Decrypts passwords stored in the CMOS"

I have a question about very small packages like this one. Should they even be included in portage, or should the user have to build it himself/herself? Either way, here's my simple ebuild.
Comment 1 Daniel Fullmer 2004-02-09 16:09:48 UTC
ok, something is screwed up, i've been trying to post the ebuild for the last ten minutes or so and it just times out... maybe i'll try later

cmospwd-4.3.ebuild

supposed to be virtual/glibc instead of sys-dev/glibc.

i didn't think i could screw up an ebuild that simple. :-)

solar, your call
Comment 5 Daniel Fullmer 2004-03-08 12:18:58 UTC
You know what, i don't think this ebuild is a good idea. I don't think a single .c file should mean an ebuild unless its an important .c that makes new releases a lot. Don't know what i was thinking, must have been jumping for the opportunity to make a new ebuild. (Hey, i've learned a lot since 2004-02-09 15:51 PST)

Close it if you want to, it won't hurt my feelings or anything ;-)

Daniel,

Ok we will close this one for now. But your enthusiasm is great to see.
If you would like to write some more ebuilds you could search the
bugzilla system for strings like "ebuild request" and see if anything
corresponds to software that you use in a unix environment or would like
to use and submit it to those bugs for users and devs to test.
