Created attachment 307163 [details] net-analyzer/inssider/inssider-0.1.1.0429.ebuild inSSIDer scans networks within reach of your computer’s Wi-Fi antenna, tracks signal strength over time, and determines their security settings (including whether or not they’re password-protected). inSSIDer is open-source software and FREE to download. It’s licensed under the Apache License, Version 2.0. This was requested on the forums. I wrote this up and it seems to do the trick. This is for the binary as I didn't try to build it from source (yet) or know if an ebuild based off a github snapshot commit/snapshot would be accepted. Please critique.
Comment on attachment 307163 [details] net-analyzer/inssider/inssider-0.1.1.0429.ebuild In src_unpack(), `unpack ${A}' could be replaced by `default', or better yet, remove it and put the second command in src_prepare() instead.
Created attachment 308483 [details] Updated ebuild with suggested changes Updated ebuild with Jeroen's suggestion. While the package installs and appears to run correctly, there appear to be issues with the widgets and an inability to select the wireless cards. I do not have a Gentoo install with a wireless network to properly test this. Anecdotal evidence from their forums suggest that this may not be isolated to a specific distro though. https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-917952.html http://www.metageek.net/forums/showthread.php?4603-inSSIDer-does-not-see-any-adapter-%28Linux%29 http://www.metageek.net/forums/showthread.php?4812-inSSIDER-not-scanning-in-linux
